After downloading PostGres in the above step, you can install it:
Next you need to enter a password, the default user is “postgres” .
The default port of portgresql is 5432, you can change it if you want.
Using the default locale, it will get the information set on your computer.
You can optionally install additional features included in Stack Builder , it is an extension of Postgresql , it includes JDBC libraries, extensions for working with digital map data (GIS), and other tools. You may not need this extension or install it later if you want.
To install more features in Stack Builder you can see more in the appendix at the end of this article.
3- Using PostGreSQL
In the above step you have successfully installed PostGresql , now you can open and use it.
- <Dir>/PostgreSQL/9.6/pgAdmin 4/bin/pgAdmin4.exe
Open pgAdmin :
Login successfully, by default you will have an empty database named “postgres” .
Create new Database:
